Family is everything to me. I love singing and performing and have a long history of drama and choir groups, both performing and administrative. I love traveling, driving, walking, swimming, karaoke singing and generally socializing with our many friends.

Ian Kellett

Someone once said that if you cut me I would bleed music. I have played and sang for more years than I wish to reveal. I have worked in schools around the county, run musical projects for people with special needs on behalf of various charities and have produced and engineered on a number of CDs. I have worked as a session musician as well as writing songs and composing music for a number of organisations.

I also enjoy photography and - guilty confession - steam trains.

Wendy Armitage

I was in the Army as a medic then worked in the care sector for both children and adults until my retirement. I love my family, friends, dogs and the choir, who have became my extended family. I met my husband through the Ewanrigg choir and at my wedding they sang me down the aisle which was amazing. I also enjoy pottery, walking and socialising.

Singing makes me happy whether singing in the car, in the choir, karaoke or on a stage.

Lyndsay Wise

I can’t remember a time when I didn’t sing, in choirs, concerts, and drama especially working alongside young people which I really enjoy. So being part of a choir now brings a sense of identity and unity which is really unique.

I’ve been a governor at Solway and Beaconhill Schools for a number of years which is keeps my brain working! I love anything in the outdoors, anything creative  and walking the beautiful Cumbrian fells.

Anthea Davenport-Davies

I was an active and dedicated member of the Ewanrigg choir from the very beginning. I am also a karaoke host alongside my partner Stephen. I have been singing from a young age, starting out in Sunday school and have been involved in a local musical society. This has helped build a strong foundation in performance and community music. I hope being part of the choir, where members become like family, and coming together socially, will be as enjoyable and fulfilling as it is for me.

Shirley Brown

I loved being a member of Ewanrigg Choir. It has always felt like a family - I met my partner David there. I’m so pleased to be able to help with the new choir and I want everyone to have the same sense of belonging as me.

I'm looking forward to going to our new venture. In the past I've been a member of a local men’s church choir but after my wife died I wasn’t getting out much. I was invited to come to the Ewanrigg Community Choir and really enjoyed the company and atmosphere. Being part of a regular gathering of like minded people has improved my spirits - I now take part in karaoke events and have also joined a Shanty group.
